Plan for Tuesday 27th February 2018

Hi all,

This is the first of our ‘dry’ evenings. Everyone is welcome, we’re hoping that these evenings will be opportunities for people to socialise as well as enjoy the offered presentations. There’s not much in the way of theory lessons to cover (apart from revision) so the instructors will also be freer to chat and get to know everyone better.

So, to the plan:

The Oxygen Administration course for the six people booked in will start promptly at 7.30. It will be held on the balcony. There is a lot for David to cover so please don’t be late.

The presentation on Coral Diseases by Linda will start at 7.45 for everyone else.

Once Linda’s presentation is finished there will be up to an hour available for Theory training. Paul or I will do OT7 with Daniel and Henry.

The other instructors will be free to help anyone who needs to revise theory, Ocean Diver or Sports Diver. If there’s anything specific you want to revise please ask on the night and we’ll organise it. (Instructors, please bring your laptops/tablets to refer to if necessary. Is there anyone who can access the internet in the boardroom? If so please could they get up the new BSAC website with the revision questions for people to try). Thanks.

I will have with me everything we need for exams so just let me know if you want to have a go at a theory exam.

And that’s about it. There is, of course, the slight complication that the Met office has issued a yellow warning for snow in South Yorkshire for Tuesday and Wednesday. We suggest that if the roads look bad on Tuesday afternoon the committee will make a judgement and decide whether to cancel the evening. Therefore, please will everyone looks at their emails and /or the club website before setting off to club as there will be notice if the evening is cancelled.

Hopefully I’ll see lots of you on Tuesday….weather permitting!

Ann
