Training Plan Tuesday 13th and Thursday 15th July

Hi all,

I’m pleased to say that the rescue skills refresher evening went well last
Thursday. Everyone I spoke to said they enjoyed it and found it very
useful; it made them realise how rusty some of their important skills were!
This is a session we will repeat later in the summer and I really think
anyone who is currently actively diving should make it a priority to attend.

Now, a message to all members but especially to our trainees. The EOs have
asked me to remind everyone that there is a charge for hiring kit from the
cage for use in the pool. All trainees should get their first two sessions
free but after that the cost of hire for the full SCUBA is £5 for adults
and £4 for juniors. This money goes directly to the Equipment Officers who
use it to keep all our kit regularly maintained and serviced…and what a
great job they do too! If you know you haven’t paid in the past week or so,
please bring what you owe this week. Many thanks.

And so to the plan for this week:

*TUESDAY 13th July*

*David P * will continue with Becca, OS3

*Dave C *will support Adam getting to grips with basic skills in hood and
gloves.

*Steve D *will do a try dive with Kelly Lucas’ stepson

*Nigel *will do a try-dive with Allan

*Chris N *will do a try-dive with Allan’s daughter.

*Rob *will do OT2 with Joanne, Liam and Marie by Zoom starting at 7.30pm.

This leaves two spaces spare on Tuesday evening. If you’d like them just
email me by Monday evening latest so I can let the EOs know.

*THURSDAY 15th July*

*Rob *will support Josh, Ryan H and Anya practicing basic skills with hood
and gloves

*Chris N *will refresh AS and CBL with Ryan W and Adam and show them how to
deploy a DSMB

*Nigel* will work with Mihai to complete OS5

*Ann *will work with Leonie on OS3

*David P *will continue with Liam on OS2

I hope everyone’s having a great weekend and I hope the weather is going to
be kind to us tomorrow at 8 Acre lake!

Ann
